These are some of our local surf breaks for beginners to intermediates. Please be respectful of the local surfers and use proper surf etiquette.

Nantasket Beach, Hull Ma.

A sand bottom, east facing break, stretching out over all of Nantasket. A westerly wind is most favorable, though it will hold a SouthWest light wind as well. Look for an Easterly swell, ranging from SouthEast to NorthEast directions. Nantasket will break through both High to Low tides, though High tide approaches the sea wall and can shut down the break. Holds a variety of size, anywhere from ankle to well overhead. Nantasket can get crowded so please be careful. The "Gasket" is a perfect beach to rent a paddle board and cruise the beach from end to end while seeing the outskirts of Boston, then when done, sit down at some great restaurants with amazing views.

Peggotty Beach
Scituate, Ma.

Peggotty is a rocky point break, typically reserved for more experienced surfers who can navigate through the water with ease. Known for it's long left peeling waves, Peggotty holds a large size wave and is best with a South East to East swell, with off shore West winds. The Cliff can provide some protection from the NorthWest winds. Peggotty is best at mid tide, though it can break well through a low tide and through high tide depending on the swell size. An ideal spot to rent a paddleboard and cruise through historic Scituate Harbor via the canal. Strict parking laws are enforced and a Scituate Beach Parking Sticker is required.

Egypt Beach

Scituate, Ma.

A sand bottom beach perfect for beginners. The beach can get crowded and so can the surf. Best on a direct easterly swell with westerly winds, Egypt is best from mid tide to low tide and back to mid. High Tide fills the beach with too much water and then shuts the break down. Egypt has different peaks along the beach. A great place to paddle for views of famous Minot's Light along the stretch of beach from Egypt to Minot. Please note a Scituate Beach Parking Sticker is required here during peak months.
